Steve Bulat and Steve Cron wrote a letter to be sent out to members who had not paid there dues.

Latest report from International finds that 28 members from last year had as of 11/06 have not renewed their membership.

Steve Bulat and Steven Cron are going to get together and write a letter to the 28.

NATE CERTIFCATION
Steve B asked Irv Moeller for some information about the relationship between RSES and Nate. Irv indecateded RSES was no longer going have a National Certification. NATE was going to be the standard.
RSES International is going to sent a survey asking the members what they want RSES to do about Nate
President Steve Bulat ask Irv Moeller to come forward and accept a framed letter informiting Irv that from now on all Kellow seminars put on the Red River Chapter of RSES will be call the Irv Moeller Education Seminar sponsered by Kellow
The next Kellow seminar will be December 2 2006 on Air flow and Distrubustion.

Vice President Steve Bulat, CM read a thank you card from Clayton Brobst to the chapter for the cash donation to help fund his trip to Kansas City for the National Skills contest.
Congratulations to Mark Wood, CMS for passing the heating specialist test.
The Board of Directors will discuss further which subject to pick for our annual Kellow seminar. A request was given to find out what subject Wes Taylor can talk to us about. Most everyone knows of him and feels he will present a great subject.
Meeting location next year will be held at a non-wholesales location for the first one half year to see if we can increase attendance at our meetings. If we feel we have not increased attendance at the meetings we will take another hard look at meeting locations fo the second half of the year.
A motion was made and passed to change the name of our annual Kellow seminar to the Irv Moeller Educational Seminar.
A motion was also made and approved to have the complete set of officers move up one chair except Todd Moeller, CM who will remain as chapter treasurer for one more year. The chapter also agreed to elect Jeff Kukert as new Sergeant at Arms. The new slate of officers to be sworn in at the first fall meeting as follows:
President: Steve Boulat, CM
Vice-President: Terry Grundysen, CMS
Treasurer: Todd Moeller, CM
Secretary: Steve Kron
Sgt at Arms: Jeff Kukert
The chapter set aside $500.00 or the cost of an airline ticket which ever is less for a delegate from our chapter to attend the annual International RSES meeting this fall. Any member in good standing wishing to represent our chapter at the National meeting should submit there name to the board for consideration.
The chapter agreed to give $500.00 to Mark Wood, CMS for teaching the heat pump coarse this year.

Todd Moeller, CM, won the door prize.

Denny Scanlon with Goodyear Belt Co held the Educational meeting. He talked to us about the proper installation and maintenance of belts.

Steve Bulat, CM and Dave Olson, CMS are going to get together and update the mailing & email list.
Mike Kempel, CMS was elected new UMRA, Sergeant of Arms. Congratulations Mike!
Mike Kempel, CMS gave a report on the past UMRA conference held in Minneapolis, MN.
The Bismarck chapter will hold the UMRA 2007.
Clayton Brobost won the Gold metal in the skills USA contest and will go on to represent ND in a national skills USA contest to be held in Kansas City in June. Clayton was introduced to the members. The members voted to donate $250.00 towards Clayton’s trip to Kansas City.
The chapter is still working on a subject for this years Kellow Seminar to be held the 1st weekend in December.

Drawing was won by #21 Lee Swanson from Dakota Refrigeration.

Darrly Rangel from Belimo Air controls gave a presentation on the installation and troubleshooting of valve and damper actuators.

Old business

Chris Daly, CM will get a list of topics for the 2006 Kellow Seminar. The Chapter took a vote and approved a seminar to be held again in 2006. We will secure a topic and speaker as soon as possible.

New Business

The Chapter asked for a volunteer for the Sergeant-at-Arms position. No one came forward so we will ask a few members after the meeting if they would be willing to accept the position.
The Chapter talked about UMRA in Minneapolis this year and if the Fargo Chapter could help finance part of the registration. The Chapter agreed not to contribute towards the registration this year. The Chapter feels our money is better spent helping to fund local RSES classes such as the current heat pump course.
The Spring Party was brought up and the Chapter thinks it is too late in the spring to get it together so the party will be omitted this spring and brought up again next December or January for 2007 Spring Party.
10 student members’ names were read and accepted as student members to the Red River Chapter of RSES.

Drawing was won by #16 Greg Satler from RHI.

We talked about The SAM manuals being discontinued as a hard copy. Headquarters still has them in stock for purchase. The SAM manual will be available on line to members or bought on a CD-Rom.
There was some discussion on RSES websites and how to use them.
We talked about looking at and selecting a Kellow Program for this fall.

Old business
A report on our 4th annual Kellow seminar that was held on 12/3/05 there were 119 registered members attending. The seminar was on Refrigerant Piping by Garth Denison, CMS and was another success. A check for $3500.00 was sent to RSES headquarters for a share of the profits from the past Kellow Seminar. RSES headquarters to use funds for Educational material.

New Business
Mr. Erv Moeller, CMS presented Joel Krouse, CMS with a plaque for passing the Domestic Service Specialist Exam.

Steve Bulat, CM talked about an upcoming service school to be held this spring. The Chapter decided to hold the Heat Pump coarse. We will go through the first volume this spring and the second volume spring of 2007.

Mark Woods, CMS has volunteered to teach the class the class. The chapter also agreed to pick up 50% of the cost of the books. Steve Bulat, CM will get out a sign up sheet as soon as possible. The chapter will pay for Mark Woods, CMS teachers book & heat pump books in full. Steve Bulat, CM will get a mailing out to us in the next two weeks.

Erv Moeller, CMS received a letter thanking our RSES chapter for the $500.00 donation towards the HVACR program at Wahpeton State School of Science by their Alumni Committee.

Door prize won by Shayne Mattern.

Mr. Jerry Wallock of Sporlan Valve Company gave our Educational presentation. He talked about expansion valves and some of the characteristics of the new refrigerants in systems.
